The 9th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) is back in Kuala Lumpur from November 13 till 23 with Europe’s best recent productions and past years award winning movies.
Last year, close to 4,000 tickets were purchased, which shows that it has become a most awaited cultural event.
The films will range from comedies to thrillers, from documentaries to dramas…all the themes and the categories will be represented on the magnificent screens of GSC Cinemas. The European cinema offers an alternative view on the world than the commercial and the blockbuster movies from Hollywood, and it shows other qualities, made of diversity –of languages, of culture-, and creativity.
The festival will show about 19 films from 14 European countries, and the selection will be a wide range of the vitality of European filmmakers. Movies that are set to be screened at EUFF this year include After the Wedding from Denmark (nominated for the Best Foreign Film at the Oscars in 2007), Get Away From Me from Spain (9 Awards), Paris from France, 9 and a Half Dates from Hungary, La Febbre from Italy, A Chicken is no Dog from Belgium and Arabian Nights from Luxemborg.
The movies will be screened in 3 venues in Kuala Lumpur: at the GSC Mid Valley, at the GSC One Utama, and at the GSC Pavilion KL.
