BIRD RACE 2008
Borneo Highlands Resort together with Malaysian Nature Society (Kuching Branch Bird Group) is proud to present the MINI BIRD RACE 2008. This is the first Bird Race to be held in Kuching, Sarawak. The race makes its debut on the 19 October 2008 around the areas of the Penrissen Range, accessible only through Borneo Highlands Resort.
The Mini Bird Race 2008 is a “fun race” where teams of two compete against each other in searching, identifying, and recording as many species of birds around the areas of Penrissen Range over a set time constraint. According to recent observations, there is a list of 143 birds, which had been sighted in the area. Can you beat that number?
Not a serious birder? Curious to find out more about birding? Do not worry, we are also organising side events such as a guided walks through the jungle trails lead by experienced MNS volunteers, a bird photography competition, exhibitions and many more.
