The World Cup Asia 2008 (WCA 2008) signifies the coming of age for paintball in Asia. It is the final leg of the PALS (Paintball-Asia League Series) and will see the crowning of the series champions.
It will be the first time that an Asian tourney strives to surpass the 100 teams mark as well as to boldly launch a division solely for ladies. In keeping with the spirit of it’s predecessors, the Nation Cup 2004, APPC 2005, WCA 2006, WCA 2007. The WCA 2008 will strive to give the sport the fundamental aura of a mainstream sport.
The event is a world class paintball championship endorsed by key paintball organizations from the US and Europe, as well as other great teams from Asia.
What is Paintball?
Paintball is a game of tag using paintball markers. There are several type of plays such as recreational, scenario, and tournament paintball. It is being played by people from all walks of life ranging from children right up to adults.
History
The first paintballs were created in the 1950s for forestry service use in marking trees from a distance, and were also used by cattlemen to mark cows. Two decades later, paintballs were used in a survival game between two friends in the woods of Henniker, New Hampshire, USA, and paintball as a sport was born.
Xtion Paintball Park provides paintball for paintball competition, recreational games, corporate event and team-building exercise, tournament organizing, cheap paintball clinics, cheap paintball field park and family day.
We are the only operator to successfully organise Tactical Paintball Training for the National Service Program which is recognized by ‘Jabatan Latihan Khidmat Negara’ and The Ministry of Defence. During this training, evaluation and review will be given to all trainees.
