Meander through the Rainforest Walk to catch the sight of Asian small-clawed otters before heading past Gibbon Island for a glimpse of our acrobatic apes.
9.00 – 9.15am
Stop by the Elephant Bathing area ( 9.00-9.30am) and pack our pachyderms with fruit during the token feeding session ( 9.15am).

Jungle Breakfast –with Wildlife at Jungle Flavours
The buffet is not the only draw at this unique breakfast experience. Get close to our charismatic orang utans and petite cotton top tamarins. Or pose with a snake for a memorable photograph.

Observe the seldom-seen underwater behaviour of the world’s largest bears. Watch Inuka fishing for a treat, and learn about how enrichment keeps our bears active
Traipse to Fragile Forest, a walk-thru rainforest home to free ranging lesser mousedeer, ring-tailed lemurs, tree kangaroos, sloths and butterflies amidst mighty trees, delicate ferns and stunning cascades.
Stroll over to Orchid Garden (if time permits) and admire the fragrant vanilla and the tiger orchid – the world’s largest orchid. A great burst of colours greets visitors as this exhibit showcases both long and short stalked plants; orchids that grow up from the ground, those that hang from trees, and even those that wrap around rocks. If you’re lucky you might also chance upon Singapore’s national flower – Vanda Miss Joaquim.

Take a quick ramble past the Reptile Garden for all things scaly – from our giant Aldabra tortoises to the rhino iguanas to the Komodo dragons.
Watch the brand new Rainforest Fights Back animal presentation (10.30am) at the Shaw Foundation Amphitheatre. Experience the wonder and magic of the rainforests as you are introduced to myriad animals, close to 15 species comprising both mammals and birds, as they ‘fight’ back to restore their rainforest home to its full splendour when its serenity is disturbed by man.

Spring over to the Splash Amphitheatre to catch the Splash Safari show, which stars jackass penguins, Californian sea lions, Caribbean manatees and the pelicans. The audience can expect to receive nuggets of interesting information on the animals as they witness the spectacular display behaviours from these marine creatures.
Proceed to the Elephants At Work and Play animal presentation (11.30am) at the Elephants of Asia exhibit. This show gives you an insight into a working elephant’s typical day at the logging camp. It demonstrates the incredible bond between the mahouts and their elephants, and reveals how intelligent these giants are. Immerse yourself in the ecological and cultural wealth of Asia at the six huts, each of which showcases an Asian country that is home to these majestic creatures.

Hamadryas Baboons – The Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia
This award winning exhibit features a spectacular troop of about 80 baboons alongside Nubian ibexes, black-backed jackals, rock hyraxes and banded mongoose in a stunning landscape of massive rocks. Experience the native Ethiopian lifestyle with rustic tribal villages, artifacts and coffee ceremony huts.
12.30 – 1.00pm
Hop into Australian Outback! Interspersed with semi-arid and marginally fertile ground, this exhibit reflects the rugged beauty of Down Under. Visitors can come up close to Eastern grey kangaroos, agile wallabies and emus. Other highlights here include the inland taipan – the deadliest snake in the world with the most toxic venom, the cassowary, bearded dragon and carpet python. Learn more about these animals from the educational interpretives located throughout the exhibit and pop onto the modified jeep for a great photo opportunity.
Catch the spectacular white tigers. This exhibit is designed in an interactive mode with multimedia animal facts and messages about wildlife conservation. Visitors can have an opportunity to see a tiger’s pug mark, hear a tiger roar and watch a video on tiger bones and how poachers hunt it to make traditional medicine.

Creatures Of The Night Show (Optional) – Get ready for a star cast of animals that demonstrate their incredible behavior and abilities from predatory to survival skills.
As the sun sets, a different world comes to life. At the Night Safari, you can look a rhinoceros in the eye, hear the howls of a pack of striped hyenas or watch giraffes glide serenely across the plain in the still of the night.
This premier night zoo houses over 900 animals of 135 exotic species in eight zones re-created to simulate geographic zones like the Southeast Asian rainforest, African savanna, Nepalese river valley, South American pampas and Burmese jungle.

Enjoy an exhilarating tribal performance (7.00pm, 8.00pm & 9.00pm at photomound and 6.30pm & 8.30pm at Ulu Ulu nightly) by the Thumbuakar Tribe hailing from the rainforests of Borneo – tribal dances, blowpipe demonstrations and fire eating displays will complete your amazing night out at the Night Safari.
7.15 – 7.45pm
Embark on the Fishing Cat Trail where you might catch the cats in action as they eye their prey in the water and lunge forward in attack. Other inhabitants along this trail include the small but ferocious leopard cats, the playful and noisy small-clawed otters, a pair of Indian Gharials and the largest bat in the world – the Malayan flying fox.
7.45 – 8.15pm
Continue the adventure on Forest Giant’s Trail . This trail is a botanical display of awesome forest giants, some of which have been around for more than a hundred years. Over a 100 other native plants are found and the forest at night is teeming with the nocturnal activities of toads, frogs, crickets and other insects. You may even be able to catch a glimpse of bats, flying lemurs, nightjars, owls, squirrels and tree shrews.
Proceed to the amphitheatre to g rab a seat for the show.
8.30 – 9.00pm Creatures of the Night Show
Get ready for the nonstop action with a star cast that includes Puma, Barn Owls, Python, Raccoons and more. The show demonstrates the behaviour and incredible abilities of our animals, from predatory to survival skills.
9.00 – 9.20pm Catch the tram journey into the Night Safari.
Hop on board the tram, a 45 min tram ride with commentary across a landscape that dramatically changes. At the Himalayan Foothills, look out for Himalayan Tahr, Bharal, and Vultures. Animals at the Nepalese River Valley include the Otter, Wolf, Greater Asian Rhino, jackal and Sambar Deer. The Indian Subcontinent features the Striped Hyena, Gir Lion and the Sloth Bear, all in a setting that is bathed in shadowy half-light that allows the creatures to be largely oblivious to your presence.
9.20 – 9.45pm Leopard Trail
Stop at the East Lodge and embark on the Leopard Trail.Look out for the Clouded Leopard, Binturong and the Malayan Civet. Not to be missed here is the mysterious lore of the Giant Flying Squirrels in a specially designed walk-through exhibit. Housed in a dome shaped net 10 metres high, watch in awe as our nine squirrels, the size of house cats, demonstrate their agility in gliding from the treetops.At the Bat Mangrove Walk, be enthralled by free-flying Malayan Bats as they hunt for food.
9.45 – 10.15pm Continue the tram journey into the Night Safari.
Hop back onto the tram and look out for the Giraffe, Serval, Spotted Hyena, Bongo and the Hippo as we travel through Equatorial Africa. This is followed by a journey through the Indo Malayan Region that is home to Hog Deer, Bearded Pig and Malayan Tiger.The Tapir, Red Dhole, Asian Elephant and Banteng come next at the Asian Riverine Forest. The seventh region that we would explore is the South American Pampas where you would see the Maned Wolf, Capybara and Giant Anteater. Our final region on this tram ride is the Burmese Hillside, which features the Guar and Thamin.

Whether you hop into a special tour, go behind-the scenes, feed Lories in the Lory Loft, catch the Birds of Prey Show, learn to Be-a-Falconer or get into the Panorail to catch a bird’s eye view of the whole park, there’s no doubt that the BirdPark is an enchanting paradise of birds and colours.
From the Penguin Parade in a re-created Antarctic setting to the Southeast Asian Birds Aviary featuring a walk-in aviary with simulated tropical thunderstorms, the birds enjoy an environment designed to be as natural to their original habitat as possible. The Waterfall Aviary is a firm favourite, home to 1,500 free-flying African birds.
