Getting there 
 
Sabak Bernam, which is 30km from Teluk Intan, is accesible through coastal road. The best way to get there is to exit the North-South Expressway at Sungai Buloh and heads towards Kuala Selangor. The drive to Sabak Bernam take anywhere between two to two and half hours.The kelong is a 15 minute ride and 20 minutes drive from Sabak Bernam to the jetty which is located at Bagan Nakhoda Omar.
You will be transported from Bagan Nahkoda Omar jetty to the kelong in a 10-seater boat.

The best fishing times at the kelong are late in the night when the tide is going down.
The resort has 48 rooms and six suites. On weekdays, it enjoys a 50 to 60 per cent occupancy, while on weekends and public holidays, it is fully booked.

Located near Luxor Temple and the bus station. The hotel is nice with English speaking, and helpful, staff. Breakfast is served on the roof and from there you can see the Nile.
In the room the big bed was comfortable, there was a bathroom and a small balcony, and a fan. Even though the hotel is located in the centre it is in a quiet place on a side street.

The Grand Hotel: Hurghada’s Grand Hotel
Price: US$80-120   
This is a 4 Star Hotel and we were more than pleased with it. The grounds are absolutely beautiful; acres of Palm Trees; flowers, etc. The beach is gorgeous and clean. Rows and rows of loungers; also water slides for kids; 3 pools; large playground with 2 trampolines; all walkways were made of marble.
Towels are provided when you go to the beach or pool. There are also lifeguards on the beach. The restaurants are all buffet style with a different theme each night. We had the half pension which was quite adequate. The restaurants are all very nice. There is only one where you can eat outside; this was nice to do early in the mornings.

Map of egypt – How to go there / transportation

There is a high-speed ferry a few times a week going from Sharm el Sheik to Hurghada. It is supposed to take 1,5 hour, but when I went with it took 3 hours. The sites on board are comfortable and there is a small snack bar selling coffee (6 pounds) and tea, coke, crisps and sandwiches. If you feel seasick you better sit in the middle in the middle. The ferry leaves Sharm at 6 pm. You will need your passport. A ticket was 250 pounds (July 2005).

Buses from Alexandria to Siwa leave from the bus station close to Sidi Gaber. But you can buy tickets from the office downtown (in the south western corner of Midan Saad Zaghloul) and it is good to do so at least a day before. A ticket is 27 pounds (August 2005) and the bus journey takes about 9 hours. There are a few buses going every day. Along the way the bus stops three times. First at a cafeteria, then in Marsa Matruh where it stays a bit longer, and finally at another cafeteria (close to where the road takes off to Qara Oasis).

When you have crossed the border at Taba you will be met by taxi drivers offering to take you to your destination in Sinai. But if you walk on, less than a km, you will come to the bus station and hopefully there will be a bus for you. If not you can always ask for a taxi here in peace and quiet.

5. In case you lose a card, it is advisable to have a 2nd card on a 2nd bank.

Egypt uses 220 voltage so be sure to bring a power adapter and a power converter. The power adapter allows the item to be plugged into the wall and the power converter allows the current to be changed from 220 to 110 (which is what is used in the USA). If your item doesn’t have an internal converter built in, then you will need a both. The plugs in Egypt are usually 2 rounded prongs.
Bring the good backpack for the young ones and backpackers; get the trolley-strong type for the seniors and luxury travellers.

Bring the light and cotton ones for the summer time (March to September-October). Bring a jacket and trousers for the hikings and rail-bus trip. For the ladies, bring alternative layers; in case you see the dirty looks on the street from your mini dress. Good walking or sport shoes and more shocks will be a must.

Bring the emergency medicines for fever and diarrhea; the pantyliners are difficult to find in some areas too. Tissues, wet tissues or hand sanitizer in your bag all the time. Take the powder for your shoes and feet with you too.

Bring a big capacity of memory card, you are going to take thousands of great pictures here. Mini DVD for your handycam is difficult to find in some area.

Pack the beach gear if you are going to go at The Red Sea Area.

Fly with Aeroplane – In Flight – Airline Ticket – Tracking

If you plan to travel with aeroplane, this is the tips from A-Z about the precaution and what to do.

Before you fly, you must check the ticket availability with airline flight tracking system and booking system online.

You can go to any airlines website for example, http://malaysiaairlines.com and go to the flight timetable or schedule to check for availability. Or go to different website to compare the price and get the most cheap flights.

Then go to booking ticket to know the price and all the charges. You can directly book your flight by using credit cards or you can go to the ticket counter branch to buy it.

You must check in your luggage that you want to put in the cargo compartment at least 2 hours before flight. Go to the check in counter that display the airline logo and name. You can check at the departure screen that state your destination and check in counter. Go to the counter and give your passport with your flight ticket. After that, put your luggage at the counter for them to label and straight away put it in the cargo.

Precaution: Make sure you lock all your zips with padlock or wrap it with plastic or any type of securing your own luggage to prevent any loss of stuff. This is very important!

Before you enter the departure hall, make sure you are not carrying any liquid or bottles with you. Bring along a lips bump for your comfort and preventing your lips from drying because the humidity in aircraft is very low and dry.

Then, you can enter the immigration gate. In KL international airport, it is very easy to pass the gate with smart device to detect your passport. Just put your passport at the device and put your right thumbnail on the sensor for few seconds. Then, take your passport and enter the departure hall after body scanning gate. In the body scanning gate, you must take all your stuff and put it in a basket to pass through the scanner.

You must be in the departure hall 20 minutes before flight. Show the ticket at the officer and enter the aircraft immediately. Find your seat number stated on the ticket. Put your stuff in the overhead compartment, take your seat and fasten your seatbelt.

In Flight, you can unfasten your seat belt when the sign af fasten seatbelt disappear. You can go to the toilet and do some walking in there. The toilet in flight / aeroplane has no sex separation. So you can get in any available toilet.

You can enjoy your meal provided by the stewardess in flight. Usually they will offer 2 type of meal for you to choose in a time. For flight longer than 7 hours, they usually provide two heavy meal. More than 3 hours will be only one meal and one sandwich. Less than 3 hours will be one sandwich.

Beer, carbonated / cold drinks and fruit juice also available in flight. You can ask the air crew anytime to have those drinks. Usually they will give you some peanuts. You can eat it while enjoying in flight entertainment program. There are a lot of movies, tv series, information, news, game and music to enjoy in flight. Just take the remote control out, change the mode to in flight entertainment and select your favourite channels. You can play all the entertainment as if you have your own computer there. Stop, rewind and play any of the movies with your own time.

When approaching for landing, you must fasten your seatbelt, stow all panel and put your seat at the straight position back. Wait for the sign of fasten seatbelt disappear for you to unfasten after landing and get your bag in the overhead compartment. You will be passing through immgration counter, show them your passport. Take your luggage at the baggage claiming area.

To move around from airport, you can take a taxi or shuttle bus services at the airport. And have a nice journey.
